JOAQUIN PHOENIX AS EDGAR ALLAN POE IN "THE BEAUTIFUL CIGAR GIRL"

Although he informed us all how he's retiring from Hollywood, before he started acting all weird and crazy in interviews and shows, Joaquin Phoenix is coming back to cinemas. He will return to the big screen in an adaptation of Daniel Stashower's book "The Beautiful Cigar Girl". Phoenix is going to play Edgar Allan Poe in this movie which is based on an eerie real-life experience the author had just months before his death. The script is based on a true story that follows Poe's investigation in solving the mystery behind the brutal death of a beautiful society girl.

SUMMER GLAU GETS UNDER "THE CAPE"

She's one of those girls that are horrible as actresses, but always get good TV deals because they are the main stars of every geek's dreams, and thus attract the very faithful audience. And as such Summer Glau is moving on - according to "The Hollywood Reporter", after becoming sf diva through her roles in "Firefly", "Sarah Connor Chronicles" and "Dollhouse", she has scored a role in a new NBC pilot "The Cape".
The series will revolve around an ex-cop (David Lyons) who is framed as a criminal, so he hits the streets as the costumed hero The Cape in order to clear his name. Glau will play an investigative blogger who tenaciously goes after crooked cops and masked villains... and has no problem getting physical as well.
And admit it, guys, you would gladly get under her umbrella, wouldn't you? :)
