FIRST IMAGE FROM ZACK SNYDER'S "SUCKER PUNCH"

You know that Zack Snyder, the director we love so much for his stunning visual and directorial vision seen in "300", "Watchmen", "Legend of the Guardians", is having the premiere of his new movie "Sucker Punch" in March 2011. "Entertaining Weekly" has published the first picture from it and you can see its female cast - Emily Browning as Baby Doll, Jena Malone as Rocket, Vanessa Hudgens as Blondie, Jamie Chung as Amber, Abbie Cornish as Sweetpea and there's also Scott Glenn in the background. Set in the 1960's "Sucker Punch" will follow a teenage girl (Emily Browning) whose evil stepfather (Jon Hamm) sends her to an asylum where she starts to imagine alternative reality and meets other teen patients (Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung and Jena Malone). She then retreats into a multi-level fantasy world where she and her friends are the star attractions in a Moulin Rouge-esque night club brothel, and sexy warriors battling robotic Germans in a stylized version of the First World War. They also fight dragons and knights in a medieval world, kick alien butt on a futuristic planet, and battle giant samurai in an ancient temple. So pretty much a crazy movie with crazy characters and crazy visual design :)

"PHARAOH" NEW EPIC TV SERIES SET IN ANCIENT EGYPT

After they've created the amazing "Rome" TV show, HBO and BBC will collaborate again to produce new historical series "Pharaoh" with the help of famous John Milius ("Conan"). This 12-part series will be set in the ancient Egypt during the New Kingdom that began in 1479 B.C. with the reign of Queen Hatshepsut, a rare female pharaoh, who ruled as regent until her nephew, Thutmosis III, took the throne. The mighty warrior pharaoh created the largest empire ancient Egypt had ever seen, an international super-power sprawling from southern Syria to northern Sudan.
Beside depicting the fascinating life of the pharaohs, "Pharaoh" will also mix characters at all levels of life, historical and fictional figures, common people with which audiences can identify: one will be a tomb-robber, others a priest, soldiers and merchants ... John Milius said that "Pharaoh" will stand apart in some ways from "Rome": differently from ancient Rome, Egypt was focused on mysticism, the relationship to death, mummification, life after death. Since the producers want to make series of international reach the whole project will be financed by European, Middle East and American partners.

SUNDAY PICS: JULIANNE MOORE NUDE FOR BVLGARI, BETTY WHITE WITH NUDE BOYS, NEW "CONAN" AND "TRON" IMAGES

Ah, what's a girl to do for her self-esteem after she's passed 40? Pose naked herself, or pose with naked boys around her? Julianne Moore chose to do the first thing by posing nude in the sizzling new marketing campaign for fashion house Bvlgari. Wearing just a few strategically placed handbags along with a couple of cute baby lions, and nothing much else, Julianne is looking quite steamy ahead of the premiere of her new critically praised movie "The Kids Are All Right".

On the other hand, our favourite (and the only living) Golden Girl, adorable and absolutely divine Betty White has decided to pose with some naked boys for a definite must-have - her new calendar for 2011 (yep, you read it right) which will hit stores in September. And I must add that our dear girl is just 88 :))

You must also check out two stunningly beautiful and fresh new banners for the upcoming sf movie "Tron: Legacy" featuring two gorgeous young people - Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde. The movie is out this December.

And for all my girls, here are two new pics of hunky Jason Momoa looking all dangerous in the remake of "Conan". The epic adventure will come to cinemas next year and is directed by Marcus Nispel.

TIM BURTON'S AND JOHNNY DEPP'S "DARK SHADOWS" PROJECT MOVES ON WITH A NEW WRITER

I remember that whenever I've published something on Tim Burton in the past a lot of you mentioned in your comments that you would like him to just quit all his plans and finally start working on his version of "Dark Shadows". Well good news for you: according to "Deadline NY", Tim Burton has hired Seth Grahame Smith to write the script so that they might start shooting the film in January 2011. If you remember, Seth Grahame Smith is the author of the bestselling novel "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" which will be adapted into a film by Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov, and now he will work with Burton again on "Dark Shadows" with a new and unique approach to the material. "Dark Shadows" was cult supernatural TV show from the 60's full of vampires, monsters, witches, werewolves, ghosts and zombies as the main characters. In Tim Burton's adaptation, Johnny Depp is supposed to play the vampire patriarch Barnabas Collins.

FIRST OFFICIAL PICTURE OF RYAN REYNOLDS AS "GREEN LANTERN". JENNIFER LAWRENCE IS THE NEW MYSTIQUE IN "X-MEN FIRST CLASS"

You didn't think I would let you go without your daily dose of super hero news? Well, first of all probably the most popular news of the day was the first official picture of Ryan Reynolds as "Green Lantern" which appeared around the Net today. It is actually the cover of the upcoming issue of "Entertain ment Weekly" which shows Ryan for the first time in the truly magnificent and modern "Green Lantern" suit. As you know Ryan plays Hal Jordan, a cocky test pilot who becomes an intergalactic superhero with a power ring which can conjure virtually anything he can dream up, so he uses his will and imagination as superpowers. How do you like the look of his suit???

I also have new official updates on "X-Men: First Class" casting: young actress Jennifer Lawrence who got praise for her role this year in indie movie "Winter's Bone" has signed on to play young Mystique who was played marvelously before by stunning Rebecca Romijn in the previous parts of the mutant saga. And the rumor about Kevin Bacon getting a villain role in the same movie has now been officially confirmed - he will really play one of the bad guys in "X-Men: First Class".

ELIZABETH BANKS IS LIVE ACTION "TINKERBELL". NEW "HERCULES" EPIC. MARK RUFFALO MIGHT BE THE NEW HULK. "CASSASTAR" TRAILER!

As you've noticed from my recent daily updates Hollywood has gone crazy about fairy tales so I have another fairy tale movie adaptation to announce today: Disney will make "Tink", a live-action film about the adorable Tinkerbell produced by Adam Shankman and McG. The good news is that blond angel Elizabeth Banks ("30s Rock", "Scrubs") is set to take the lead role in the film which will focus on the mischievous nature of the Tinkerbell.

Although the public got excited with the news of Joaquin Phoenix possibly taking the role of Hulk in "The Avengers" from Edward Norton, it seems that we have a new candidate for the role: according to "Deadline NY" Mark Ruffalo is already in final talks to portray The Hulk in "The Avengers". It seems that after "Thor", "Spiderman" and "Captain America" we now have a new casting mystery to deal with in next few weeks :)

A news I mentioned a year ago is hot again: Brett Ratner ("X-Men: The Last Stand") is planning a live-action movie about the famous mythological hero "Hercules". According to "MovieWeb" Avi Lerner ("The Expendables") has been working on the script for over three years and is now looking to use the current trend of epic movies in cinemas to film his story.

And something exclusive which has just come up: check out the first rockin' trailer for CASSASTAR, the upcoming sf book from my great friend Alex. J. Cavanaugh. The book is out October 19th, and you will be honoured to read the worldwide exclusive interview with Alex on the same day here at Hollywood Spy :) Congrats, on the great book trailer, Alex!

EXCLUSIVE AND OFFICIAL FIRST IMAGE OF ANTHONY HOPKINS AND CHRIS HEMSWORTH IN "THOR"

Ah, so the first official image from the upcoming super hero movie "Thor" is here, and we can finally take an official glimpse onto the main characters: Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Chris Hemsworth as the mighty Thor himself and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Beside publishing the first image, "LA Times" has also revealed the information that both "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger" will be converted into 3D. "Thor's" director Kenneth Branagh, admitted that he wasn't into the conversion, having some doubts about the process, but that he had changed his mind after discovering the unexpected artistic opportunities it offered him as the director. So how do you like the first look of the guys from "Thor"?

"MATRIX" DIRECTOR GOES GAY, NEW SF FILMS "GARGOYLES" AND "ARCHANGELS", PETER JACKSON CASTING FOR "THE HOBBIT"

We haven't seen director Andy Wachovski much (or almost at all) after he scored an almost legendary success with the famous sf saga "Matrix", but it seems that he is now doing something absolutely and totally unexpected: together with Lana Wachovski, Andy will direct Iraq war film "CN9" for which they are doing the casting right now. Believe it or not, "CN9" will deal with a homosexual relationship between a U.S. soldier and an Iraqi.

Disney Pictures is currently planning a movie about the scary mythological creatures "Gargoyles". It will not be connected either to the popular animated TV series nor to the comic book, but I'm not sure whether it will be connected with one of the popular novels by Andrew Davidson which have dealt with these dangerous creatures.

Joseph Kosinski ("Tron Legacy")will direct "Archangels", a sf action set in the near future about a covert group of agents who battle aliens secretly living among humans. The protagonist is part of an elite force that is tasked with tracking aliens who get past Earth's defense system.

And when it comes to "The Hobbit" news, the latest update from "Heat Vision Blog" says that Peter Jackson has almost closed the deal to helm the highly-anticipated prequel and that he is currently on a casting trip between LA and NY looking for potential actors. Warner Bross is apparently furiously negotiating with MGM to get the films off the ground and release them in 2012 and 2013.

AMANDA SEYFRIED CAST FOR ANDREW NICCOL'S SF FILM "I'M.MORTAL". NEW PICS FROM ROMAN EPIC "CENTURION"

One of the best sf directors ever, Andrew Niccol ("Gattaca", "Simone") has found himself a lead actress for his new sf movie "I'm.mortal": Amanda Seyfried has signed to star in the film set in a future society where the aging process stops at 25 and time becomes a form of currency, with the rich essentially becoming immortal and the rest of society struggling to survive. A poor rebel murders a man for his "time" and goes on the run, taking Seyfried's character hostage, when they discover that love is more powerful than immortality. The lead actor hasn't been chosen yet.

I also have four new pictures from the Roman epic "Centurion" coming out August 27th. Starring Michael Fassbender, Olga Kurylenko and Dominic West, the film will follow the famous Ninth Legion which fights against the terrifying tribes known as the Picts in Northern Britain AD 117.

EIGHT MAGICAL CHARACTER POSTERS FROM "LEGEND OF THE GUARDIANS: THE OWLS OF GA HOOLE"

The premiere of "Legend of the Guardians: the Owls of Ga Hoole" is getting closer and closer (September 24th), and we now have eight stunningly beautiful character posters for the epic fantasy adventure directed by Zack Snyder ("300", "Watchmen"). If you click on these pics you will see some of the main characters from the film which promises to be the most precious and charming cinematic experience of the whole year: Metalbeak the Destroyer, Gylfie the Navigator, Digger the Tracker, Eglantine the Dreamer, Nyra the Evil Queen and Soren the main hero of the movie.
With voices of a stunning cast including legends themselves Helen Mirren, Hugo Weaving, Geoffrey Rush, Sam Neill... the film will follow Soren, a young owl enthralled by his father's epic stories of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole, a mythic band of winged warriors who had fought a great battle to save all of owlkind from the evil Pure Ones. While Soren dreams of someday joining his heroes, his older brother, Kludd, scoffs at the notion, and yearns to hunt, fly and steal his father's favor from his younger sibling. But Kludd's jealousy has terrible consequences--causing both owlets to fall from their treetop home and right into the talons of the Pure Ones. Now it is up to Soren to make a daring escape with the help of other brave young owls. Together they soar across the sea and through the mist to find the Great Tree, home of the legendary Guardians of Ga'Hoole, Soren's only hope of defeating the Pure Ones and saving the owl kingdoms.

JOAQUIN PHOENIX OFFERED THE ROLE OF HULK IN "THE AVENGERS"

Last week Marvel announced that they don't want Edward Norton appearing as the Incredible Hulk anymore in their movies and that they will search for a new actor who could be a more cooperative member of "The Avengers" cast. As you know "The Avengers", directed by Josh Whedon , will be a movie gathering all the biggest super heroes in one place which means Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Junior as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor together in the same movie. I'm not sure does this mean that they find Edward Norton a problematic actor who can't work well with other stars, but he is officially off the project now. But Marvel wasn't grieving for too long, according to today's freshest rumors, they have already offered the role of The Incredible Hulk to no other but semi-retired Joaquin Phoenix. Apparently Joaquin is currently thinking about it, since it would mean that he won't just appear in "The Avengers" film, but also in other movies from the Hulk franchise. Although I quite like Joaquin, I must admit I prefer Edward or Eric Bana in the role.

NEW ROLES FOR EWAN MCGREGOR, ORLANDO BLOOM, MARCIA CROSS, TOM HARDY, DANIEL CRAIG AND A LIVE ACTION "LITTLE MERMAID"

A whole bunch of Hollywood gentlemen is trying to get a role in "The Sweeney" according to "The Daily Mail". "The Sweeney" will be a big screen version of the 70's British crime drama, and apparently Tom Hardy, Ewan McGregor, Orlando Bloom and Daniel Craig all want a part in it. "The Sweeney" was a British television police drama focusing on two members of the Flying Squad, a branch of the Metropolitan Police specialising in tackling armed robbery and violent crime in London. The programme's title derives from "Sweeney Todd", which is Cockney rhyming slang for "Flying Squad". As it turns out Ray Winstone and Michael Fassbender were previously supposed to play the two main detectives, but apparently Fox wants a bigger name now to star alongside Winstone.

On another front, our favourite Desperate Housewife, the refined beauty Marcia Cross has scored a role in "Bringing Up Bobby" with Milla Jovovich, a directorial debut by Famke Janssen which will follow a European con artist and her 10-year-old son who will try to escape her past and build a better future going through a myriad of adventures until the mother's criminal past catches up with her. Bill Pullman and Marcia Cross will play the parents who adopt the son.

And this is not a casting news but Joe Wright ("Pride and Prejudice", "Atonement", "Hanna") is planning to direct a live-action version of "The Little Mermaid", the famous Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale about beautiful mermaid which leaves her underwater kingdom for the love of a human prince. I'm nominating Emily Blunt for the role :)

A MYSTERIOUS NEW IMAGE SUGGESTS THE POSSIBLE RETURN OF THE CULT SF SHOW "FIREFLY"

The news that caused millions of geekgasms around the Net today is connected with the mysterious new image that Nathan Fillion published on his Twitter yesterday. The image shows Nathan with his former colleagues Joss Whedon, Adam Baldwin and Alan Tudyk, all from the cult and prematurely murdered sf TV show "Firefly" suggesting some kind of reunion. They are all mysteriously looking up at the sky as if they are waiting for some miraculous power to come down to Earth and bring the show to life again. Does this mean that "Firefly's" movie version "Serenity" might get a sequel or will the show start shooting again in some new form???
As you know, "Firefly" was a short-lived but eternally loved sf show which was canceled in the middle of the first season, but after that it gained an abnormal mass of fans all around the world and now it has a whole cult of fans similar to the supporters of "Star Trek" and "Star Wars". "Firefly" was set five hundred years in the future following a renegade crew aboard a small spacecraft which was trying to survive as they traveled the unknown parts of the galaxy and evaded warring factions as well as authority agents out to get them. Most of the actors Nathan Fillion, Morena Baccarin, Jewel Staite, Summer Glau, Gina Torres, Adam Baldwin ... have continued successful TV careers after "Firefly".

CALEB LANDRY JONES IS BANSHEE, NICHOLAS HOULT IS BEAST AND LUCAS TILL IS HAVOK IN "X-MEN: FIRST CLASS"

"X-Men: First Class", the movie which has raised waves of rumors this summer, is about to begin with the shooting in August, and the casting process is continuing each new day. There are more and more updates about Aaron Johnson ("Kick-Ass") really getting the role of young Cyclops, and there are some rumors that Kevin Bacon has been offered a role of villain, but there are also some official casting news: young actor Caleb Landry Jones ("No Country For Men", "Social Network") will portray Banshee (an Irish mutant, which possesses a sonic scream, capable of harming enemies’ auditory systems and causing physical vibrations) in the film directed by Matthew Vaughn, while Nicholas Hoult ("About a Boy", "Clash of the Titans") will play Beast. There's also another new member to the mutant saga: young Lucas Till ("Walk the Line", "Hannah Montana") is negotiating to play Havok who is actually the younger brother of Cyclops. If these news prove to be right, the young actors will join James McAvoy as Professor X and Michael Fassbender as Magneto in "X-Men: First Class".

RALPH FIENNES, COLIN FIRTH, GARY OLDMAN AND MICHAEL FASSBENDER JOIN "TINKER, TAILOR, SOLDIER, SPY"

Now this is truly a stunning cast: director Tomas Alfredson ("Let the Right One In") has signed Ralph Fiennes, Colin Firth, Gary Oldman and Michael Fassbender for his new movie "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy". The film will be an espionage thriller based on the 1974 best seller penned by John le Carré. The story takes place during the aftermath of the Cold War and revolves around a spy hunter working within the highest echelons of the British Secret Intelligence Service. Back in the 1970s' BBC had a TV series starring Alec Guinness based on the same novel. "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" is scheduled to premiere in 2012.

HILARIOUS FIRST TRAILER FOR "VAMPIRES SUCK" AND A HILARIOUS PIC OF COLIN FARRELL FROM "HORRIBLE BOSSES" :)

You know I'm not into non-intelligent comedies, but this one brought to us by the guys who couldn't sit through another vampire movie, just hits the target I like :) Coming to theaters this August, "Vampires Suck" is a goofy parody on "Twilight" and "Alice in wonderland". Check out the first trailer for the film in which the makers of "Date Movie", "Epic Movie" and "Meet the Spartans" take on the vampire genre, particularly "The Twilight Saga".

If that wasn't funny enough for you you can also check out the first picture of Colin Farrell from the set of the new comedy "Horrible Bosses" in which he is sporting a hilarious comb-over and you can't really recognise him :) Starring Jason Bateman, Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx, Colin Farrell and Jennifer Aniston, "Horrible Bosses" brings the story line which revolves around three friends who decide to whack their abusive "superiors" in a desperate bid for happiness but their plan goes terribly wrong. Spacey, Farrell and Aniston will play oppressive bosses, and Bateman will be one of the co-workers. The movie is scheduled for premiere next summer, July 2011.

HOLLYWOOD SPY CELEBRATES ITS 100,000TH VISITOR

Ah, my dearest readers, as you can notice HOLLYWOOD SPY has just had its 100,000th reader today. Yep, it means that one hundred thousand stunningly gorgeous, positively beautiful and profoundly refined people (this means you ^_^) have visited your favourite film news blog in less than a year. I wanted to thank you, my lovely readers and friends, for visiting and reading your Hollywood Spy's ramblings every day, you know that your support is the fuel that keeps me going. I've also changed the general layout a bit in this honour (and to put a bit more space for all the gadgets), and I hope you like it. So, a big hug and kiss to all of you who are commenting, reading and being my blogging friends. Dezz, loves you and there's nothing you can do about it :))

JAMES BOND CANCELED. M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN PLANNING A SEQUEL TO "THE LAST AIRBENDER". "SHERLOCK HOLMES II" STARTS SHOOTING THIS AUTUMN

Jude Law has just revealed to "Empire Online" that "Sherlock Holmes II" will start shooting sooner than expected - this October with him as Dr. Wattson and Robert Downey Jr as Holmes. Jude is also working on Steven Soderbergh's "Contagion" a sf action which takes place over four continents, and revolves around the threat posed by a deadly disease with the stunning cast including also Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon and Marion Cottilard. Jude Law will also appear in Martin Scorsese's "Hugo Cabret" playing the father of a 12-year-old orphan who lives in the walls of a Paris train station in 1930 and the film follows a mystery involving the boy, his late father and a robot.

And it seems we can say goodbye to "James Bond 23", because the latest rumors claim that the new Bond movie, which was supposed to be directed by Sam Mendes, has been canceled thanks to MGM being in a bad financial situation. It could be years before the secret agent with a license to kill is back on the big screen. This also means that Daniel Craig could be replaced by a younger actor when a new installment finally gets the green light.

Although the viewers and the critics weren't amazed by yet another of his work, M. Night Shyamalan, is optimistic about the possible sequel to "The Last Airbender" which grossed around $50 million last weekend. He said that the second part will be darker and richer and it will follow a less important character from the first film which will be more prominent in the second movie and will also focus on Kyoshi Warriors who were omitted from "The Last Airbender".

JOANNA KRUPA IS HOLLYWOOD SPY'S HOTTEST VIXEN. NEW POLL: TV HUNKS PART III

OK guys, HOLLYWOOD SPY's THE HOTTEST VIXEN poll is over and you have proclaimed blond angel Joanna Krupa the winner with 35% of votes, with Kelly Brooke on the second place (23%) and Adriana Lima on the third (10%). I must admit I'm kinda happy you voted for Joanna Krupa because this gives me the naughty opportunity to publish her breathtaking PETA pics again :) If anyone has anything against it may he or she be the first one to throw a stone upon the sinful little Dezz :)))
Now, if you want to read something about Joanna beside staring at her pictures, I can tell you that this gorgeous 31-year-old is from Poland, but she grew up in the USA. Beside officially being the Sexiest Swimsuit Model in the World, Joanna is also an actress and she played roles in "Legally Blonde", "Planet of the Apes", "CSI", "Las Vegas", but most Americans know her as the contestant in the popular "Dancing With the Stars" show in which she showed her dancing skills. But the thing we respect her most for is her work for PETA. She has appeared in a number of ads for PETA, all speaking out against wearing fur. You can see the most controversial one in these pictures in which she tells you to be an angel for animals, always adopt dogs, never buy.

Now, let us move to the new poll. The third and the final part of the TV HUNK poll starts now and you can vote for your favourite hunky television actor in next two weeks as much as you like. The hunks in the run are: Julian McMahon (NIP/TUCK), Michael Vartan (HAWTHORNE), Wentworth Miller (PRISON BREAK), Kevin McKidd (ROME, GREY'S ANATOMY), Craig Horner (LEGEND OF THE SEEKER) and Eric Mabius (UGLY BETTY). You can comment on the boys and on the poll as much as you like in the chat box beneath their pics :)

NEW PICS: VIGGO MORTENSEN AND MICHAEL FASSBENDER AS FREUD AND JUNG, MILLA JOVOVICH AS MILADY DE WINTER, AMERICANS WANT JIM CARREY TO PLAY UNCLE SAM

For today's mishmash of fresh movie news in a boring postholiday week I first have some pics for you: directly from the set of David Cronenberg's "A Dangerous Method" you can see first images of Viggo Mortensen as Sigmund Freud and Michael Fassbender as his student Carl Jung. The movie will tell the story of the intense relationship between the two famous psychologists and how their conflict birthed psychoanalysis. The film is out next year and also stars Vincent Cassel.

Daily update on "X-Men: First Class" casting process: surfer Erica Hosseini has revealed that she has auditioned for the role of Willow, a character similar to Mystique which could mean lots of body paint on a naked body :) Willow has a shape shifting ability but when she mimics others she always has some marks on her face which are revealing her true identity.

Celebrating their Independence Day this weekend, American Internet users were also voting for the actor whom they would like to see in the role of Uncle Sam over at WENN.com. Believe it or not, it seems Americans have a great sense for irony so they've chosen Jim Carrey for the winner with 46% even though he is actually a Canadian. 26 % of votes have secured a second place for Robert De Niro, while crazy Chris Rock took third spot with 25%. People really have a good sense of humor :)

Milla Jovovich has posted some pics over at Twitter from her first dress rehearsal for the historical adventure "The Three Musketeers" directed by her husband Paul W.S. Anderson. She will wear luxurious 17th century gowns playing the naughty Milady de Winter. As one of the villains, Milla says Milady will do crazy fight sequences in the big, long dresses which are mostly white. Coming out next April, the film will also star Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz, Orlando Bloom, Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans, Matthew Macfadyen, Mads Mikkelsen...

IAN MCKELLAN MIGHT NOT STAR IN "THE HOBBIT", TAYLOR LAUTNER AND JOSH HUTCHERSON MIGHT JOIN "X-MEN: FIRST CLASS", NEW "CONAN" PICS

Here's a bunch of fresh news for the holiday Monday: Ian McKellen has revealed that he might walk out of "The Hobbit" adaptation since he was never officially signed for a role and he doesn't want to give the producers the impression that he's sitting and waiting during the indefinite delay of "The Hobbit". He would like to do more theater work.

Our new daily update on "X-Men: First Class" casting process reveals that 20th Century Fox is eying the 18-year-old Taylor Lautner for a role in the mutant saga in order to use his popularity from the "Twilight" movies. Apparently, after the failure of their recent flicks "Knight & Day" and "The A-Team", the studio wants to get "X-Men" right.
There's also a new rumor connected to young Josh Hutcherson who just lost the role of Spiderman to Andrew Garfield: it seems Hutcherson might be in the run for the role of young Cyclops in "X-Men: First Class".

Here's also a bunch of officially denied rumors: Angelina Jolie has denied that "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" sequel might see the light of day, Johnny Depp has denied that there will be a movie version of "Doctor Who" with him in the lead role, Amanda Seyfried's PR has denied the rumors that she was offered the lead role in Disney's live action adaptation of "Cinderella".

Some new pics of Jason Momoa from the set of "Conan" have appeared around the Net again showing the young actor in sword fights. Directed by Marcus Nispel and starring Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Rose McGowan and Ron Perlman, the movie is out next year.

BBC PREPARING GREAT NEW SF SHOW "OUTCASTS" WITH JAMIE BAMBER AND ERIC MABIUS

HOLLYWOOD SPY has given support to many great and original BBC shows before, such as "Merlin", "Being Human" ... and it seems we can expect a cool new series from the British television again: they are currently shooting "Outcasts" a sci-fi series which sees humans attempt to populate another planet. With eight episodes and set on the fictional planet Carpathia in 2040, "Outcasts" will open with a group of pioneers waiting to welcome other settlers to the planet, who will hopefully bring news of Earth. After a biological catastrophe wipes off human species on Earth, the show will center on a settlement of 50,000 emigrants from Earth on a life supporting planet in a neighboring solar system who have to start a new civilization. The gallery of the main characters will contain a variety of different types – from the brilliant deviant to the petty thief who must build the conditions for a new life together. The cast already has some amazing and popular TV stars: hunky Jamie Bamber from the cult US series "Battlestar Galactica", charismatic Eric Mabius from "Ugly Betty" who will play the vice president of the evacuation program, British actress Hermione Norris, Liam Cunningham who will run Carpathia, British rapper Ashley Walters, pretty Jeanne Kietzmann ...
"Outcasts" has been described as a tense and fast-paced series about co-operation and conflict, idealism and power, sexual competition and love. Most of all it is about our life's big imperatives – cheating death, seeking suitable mates and surviving as a species.

MULTIPLE MAN TO APPEAR IN "X-MEN FIRST CLASS". NEIL MARSHALL TO DIRECT A POST CAMELOT EPIC "THE SWORD AND THE FURY"

Here's a bunch of fresh news for the holiday weekend: according to hot rumors, Jamie Madrox a.k.a. Multiple Man, will be one of the characters in "X-Men: First Class". If you remember, Multiple Man also appeared in "X-Men: The Last Stand", back in 2006 and was played by Eric Dane, but it seems that now three new (still secret) actors are competing for the role of the mutant who grew up on an isolated farm in Kansas wearing a special suit which could neutralize his mutant power, but before this could be explained to him a horrible tornado killed his parents when he was just 15.

Speaking to "MovieWeb", Neil Marshall, the director of this summer's Roman epic "Centurion" with Michael Fassbender, has revealed that one of his future projects will be "The Sword and the Fury", a post-Camelot film, which would take place thirty-years after the death of King Arthur. It will start with a tyrant stealing the magical Excalibur, after which Guinevere and the Grail Knights will be forced to hire a band of thieves to steal it back. Waiting in Neil Marshall's list of the possible projects is also "The Eagle's Nest", a World War II action-adventure film, an espionage story described as the mix of Indiana Jones, James Bond, "Where Eagles Dare" and "Die Hard".

IT'S OFFICIAL: ANDREW GARFIELD IS THE NEW SPIDER-MAN!

OK, people so it's finally official: after the hot speculations in recent few days that the final candidates for the role of Spider-Man in the new reboot were Josh Hutcherson and Jamie Bell, Sony Pictures has officially announced that they've decided to give the role to a relatively unknown young actor Andrew Garfield. According to producers Garfield was chosen because of the rare combination of intelligence, wit and humanity in his personality and they were looking for a smart, sensitive, and cool new Peter Parker who can inspire viewers and make them laugh, cry, and cheer. As they admitted themselves, the producers were floored by Andrew Garfield's glorious screen test. Although he wasn't noticed by the general audience young Andrew Garfield has played in "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus", "Lions for Lambs", "The Social Network"... And he is British :) I'm not overly excited, and I think he looks like a younger brother of tennis player Andy Murray, what do you think guys?
